Sales and Business Development

Job Description

Savvy is looking for someone who is both eager and mission-driven to support our business development efforts. This should be the easiest pitch of your life, because 4 out of 5 potential clients pitch our services for us, we just need your help to get in front of them to share how we can help them get patient insights. You’ll work alongside our marketing and accounts teams to ensure we get the right information in front of clients and scope winning projects that help them get the most out of talking to patients and caregivers. Ideal candidates are motivated by getting things over the finish line, hyper organized, excellent communicators, and are familiar with the healthcare industry. You’ll be the front door for clients to learn about Savvy, so be prepared to talk about why diverse patient insights help accelerate innovation! Multiple levels available (associate to director level), based on experience.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting outreach to cold, warm, and smoking hot leads
  • Receiving project details from clients and turning around proposals and quotes
  • Scoping projects to ensure clients get the most out of their engagement with Savvy
  • Staying on top of pipeline, communications, and KPIs
  • Strategically and proactively identify opportunities to build and strengthen existing pipeline to drive revenue
  • Collaborating with the business development team to create effective, comprehensive selling strategies for target markets and new opportunities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Collaborating with Operations Team to create seamless handoffs
  • Working closely with the VP of Business Development to help pitch capabilities
  • Ensuring accurate and consistent data entry into various systems to track metrics across the sales cycle
  • Identifying, capturing, and communicating client feedback with the Savvy team
  • Representing Savvy at conferences and events as needed

  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Has superb organizational skills
  • Is an effective communicator, both internally and to clients
  • Is committed to serving clients quickly
  • Is able to support meetings as early as 7am Eastern Time
  • Is able to build strong relationships, both internally and with clients
  • Is willing to jump in wherever necessary
  • Is comfortable and skilled at using LinkedIn, CRMs, HubSpot, email marketing software
  • Has knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Has prior sales experience, bonus if experience is related to pharma, digital health, market research, user experience research, consulting etc.
  • Is motivated, energetic, hardworking, and eager to learn


  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior sales experience, including proposal writing
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry
