Patient leaders needed to help Savvy LEAP forward!​

Lead Advisors will play an important role by serving as liaisons between the community, co-owners and the Savvy Team.

This is an exciting professional development opportunity for patient advocates who are eager to step into a leadership role and strengthen relationships with their community and the co-op.

 

In this position, Lead Advisors will have the opportunity to unlock special monetary rewards and additional co-op dividends. Advisors will be critical to shaping the foundation of Savvy and accelerating the growth of our cooperative.

Responsibilities

In this position, Lead Advisors will fulfill the following duties:

  • Spearhead monthly initiatives and rally community & co-owners to participate.

  • Collect feedback from fellow co-owners and report back to the Savvy Team with recommendations.

  • Host monthly info sessions webinar with their community patient co-op owners living with their condition.

  • Participate in monthly check-ins with Savvy Team.

Who Should Apply

We are looking for a diverse and dedicated group of leaders who possess the following attributes:

  • Uphold Savvy Co-op's Core Values

  • Believe in the co-op and its mission

  • Have strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Are engaged in community groups

  • Have an online presence

  • Are tech-savvy (proficient with email, powerpoint, webinars, conference calls, etc)

  • Are outgoing and enjoy interacting with people

  • Can dedicate 3-4 hours per month to the position

LEAP Positions

Advisors will sign on for a 6-month term with the opportunity to renew, upon review.

To pilot the program, we will select two lead advisors per condition listed below:

  • Arthritis (RA, PsA, SpA, AS, JIA, OA)

  • IBD (Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis)

  • Cystic Fibrosis

  • Multiple Sclerosis 

  • Mental Health

  • HIV

  • Breast Cancer

  • Heart Disease

  • Diabetes

  • Eczema

  • Parkinson's Disease

  • Sickle Cell Disease

  • Hemophilia

  • Rare Disease (involved in the rare disease community)

Application & Selection

Interested applicants should apply below by March 1, 2019.

Once all applications have been received, the Savvy Team will review the candidates. Those selected to move to the final round will go through interviews, and final selections will be announced by the end of March.
