Savvy are brilliant to work with and their team are incredibly supportive, engaged and proactive. They are truly interested in ensuring that we get the best possible insight from our patient research and work hard to ensure that both our researchers and the patients have a productive engagement. The patient insights we’ve gleaned from working with Savvy have had a significant positive impact on a number of projects, allowing us to rapidly incorporate patient perspectives in the development of our digital solutions.
We were able to quickly and effectively test, validate, and adjust our hypothesis through real patient insights in the challenging rare-disease area. We are happy that they helped us truly co-create the right prototype and value proposition for our patients from the early stages of our catalyst fund project.
Savvy helped us design a two-phased Savvy patient engagement project. In the first phase, we had a 7-day asynchronous workshop conducted over the Savvy platform. Savvy very quickly identified 20 individuals that were Black, African-American, LatinX and/or Native American to participate in this workshop. One of the things I really liked about this workshop experience was that the participants could build off of each other, see each other’s stories and react to them and share more experiences beyond them.
There is no other partner I can think of that is better positioned to bring the right kind of patient perspectives in clinical trial design. Providing a novel digital interface for their community to better understand a proposed research design radically increases scalability and sophistication of insights.
We partnered with Savvy because they could connect us directly with patients and ensure the voice of patients is reflected in our work. Citeline Connect has integrated learnings from the project into a set of best practices used in creating clinical trial websites for sponsors. Websites designed following these guidelines and based on the new user experience have seen an average 6% decline in visitor drop-off rate.
Bringing together Acclinate and Savvy’s unique strengths will provide an enriched patient and community experience for people of color. Often, patient voices aren’t included in the development of healthcare solutions. Together, the companies look forward to advancing health innovations and clinical trial research diversity with community-centered insights around behavioral motivations, adequate and equitable incentives, and affective trust.
They helped us to deliver our most patient- and health equity-focused event to date, with patient consultations, a studio for recording patient and caregiver stories—which we will develop into a comprehensive digital campaign–and a new report that explored the state of patient empowerment among breast cancer patients and proposed a new framework for assessing empowerment in any patient population.
